My original petroleum website was “oil1859.org” on Google Sites. For the moment, it’s still up. I combined it with a Blogger blog, oil1859.blogger.com, where I did some fairly nifty Posts. Since then, I’ve worked a lot with WordPress-based websites. WordPress started as a blogging system, but it’s become the low-end content management system of choice for building websites based on templates and themes. I decided to just consolidate my activities on a WordPress platform, but split into two sites. Over on NutritionEquation, I’m building a site the discusses human nutrition. What people eat affects everything in the world, and Petreolocene.org is designed to be my bigger “worldview” site, with an oil1859 subset. That subset is going here.
